I LOVE ROSE AND AMANDA SO MUCH. THEY WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR PROBLEMS, FROM THE MUNDANE [ONE TIME I CALLED THEM AND SAID ‘YO I’M BORED IN A CAR’ AND THEY HUMORED ME] TO THE EXTREME [SEE: ‘SERIOUS GAY MAN WHO CAN’T GET MY BOYF TO COME’]. They are Philly’s answer to Dear ABBY if she were Liza Minelli and chainsmoked. Kind of? Anyway I have serious city envy that they live there and not here, they’re two of the coolest girls in the tri-state area. This chick texts me this morning like ‘OH BY THE WAY I WROTE A SHORT MUSICAL AND I’M PERFORMING IT TONIGHT IF YOU’RE FREE.’ um first of all, WHUTTTTTT, ‘by the way’ you wrote a short musical? second of all, i was coughing so hard i actually puked this morning, in a brilliant case of bronchial madness i believe i contracted from my loving boyfriend. sweet. so i missed everything in life today, but Tiombe says they’re performing this more than once. CHECK FOR IT. Disclosing that she is my friend, I wanna say she’s incredibly gifted and awesome. Plus the aforementioned Desiree Godsell is a great choreographer and former backup dancer for many of yr fave foxy folx including Santigold [she was one of the glasses-wearing robot girls in the early days], Amanda Blank and Major Lazer.
