Mostly I have a really extensive google reader that I’ve built up over probably 8 years, and I stay on Soundcloud and Twitter like it is my job (it is) and I also have built up a pretty vast network of musicians and DJs who send me shit because they know I care. As for Nightwave, I learned about her because she did vocals on Rustie’s “Glass Swords,” my fave album of 2011, and I was encouraged to look into her music more. She is awesome, just did a collabo with Canblaster (another dude more ppl shd pay attention to, he is a Parisian video game sound effects designer who makes dance music on the side), and I think she’s coming out with a new album soon. Nightwave, that is. Also, it is my personal crusade to pay attention to as many female rappers and producers as I can because you know #bossbitches.
