People got mad at me for calling Lupe’s new video “slut-shaming” on Twitter—this is a really concise, on-point breakdown that aligns with how I viewed the video. And agreed on the thought process behind the video. I don’t doubt that Lupe and his fans think that he’s doing something really positive for hip-hop. I don’t doubt that he was well-intentioned. But it’s just another nefarious route through patriarchy  that doesn’t help anyone.
